Wedding in Sighnaghi

Sighnaghi is the only city in the world where you can officially register a marriage at any hour of the day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That is exactly why it is known as the City of Love.

This tiny town on a steep hillside is encircled by mighty fortress walls with 23 towers, offering one of the most spectacular views in Georgia — the boundless Alazani Valley with vineyards stretching to the horizon and the snow-capped peaks of the Greater Caucasus Range in the distance.

The best time is April through November, especially autumn, when the vineyards turn gold and crimson. The drive from Tbilisi takes about an hour and a half through the picturesque landscapes of Kakheti.
